Reaction speed. Not physical reaction speed — the brain's ability to receive sensory information, process it, and respond. And here's why it matters more than most teachers realize. Every movement your client makes is a reaction. A reaction to gravity. To their environment. To the position of their own body in space. The faster the brain can process that information — the smoother, more controlled, and more efficient the movement becomes. Balance improves. Coordination improves. Complex patterns that used to fall apart start holding together. And here's what I find fascinating — reaction speed is trainable. It's not fixed. It's not something some clients have and others don't. When you start targeting the brain's processing speed directly — through the right sensory drills — you start seeing changes that traditional movement training just doesn't produce. And you start seeing them fast.

Movement quality has a ceiling when brain speed isn't addressed. But when you start training the brain's processing speed — everything else rises with it.
